I made this sculpture in 1993.  At that time, horrible wars were being inflicted upon the people of ex-Yugoslavia. The hatemongers had a field day. Orthodoxs against muslims against catholics aganst Serbs against Croats against Bosnians against Albanians etc.

My sculpture was meant as a cry of protest against this cannibalism. It has a white side and a black side. Instead of a head, there are only rusted chains coming out of its neck. The chains of the past where a brain should be. If only this sculpture had become irrelevant for our world today…
